Margaret Collins is a printmaker/painter from Cleveland, Ohio. She worked as a graphic designer for American Greetings while maintaining a studio shared with Marvin Smith, Dan Chrzanowski and Joy Sweeney.
In 1990 Margaret moved the studio to The Lake Erie Screw Building where she fell in love with printmaking. The Lake Erie Screw Building, now know as the Screw Building, is home to many local artist today.
Margaret’s work resides in the permanent collection of American Greetings Corporation, Lamson Sessions, University Hospital, Hospice of the Western Reserve, Lutheran Hospital, the Morgan Consevatory along with individual collectors.
Mrs. Collins studied at Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Baldwin Wallace College and the Cleveland Institute of Art. Margaret is also a member of Zygote Press where she works in a green print environment and a member of the Artist Archive of the Western Reserve. Margaret has a Studio in her home along with a Print Facility.
The city of Cleveland with its parks and beaches has been a great influence in her art that covers a range of styles from realistic to abstract.
